Our child care center was created by a mom of three, 2 of which have special needs. Anthony (5): Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD; and Jaxon (3): Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Global Developmental Delay. She also has a Masters Degree in Teaching Special Education, and over 10 years of experience working with people with special needs of all ages.
The Every Child ELC team consists of experienced early childhood educators whose diverse experience includes: daycare center providers, in-home daycare providers, mothers (including of children with special needs), home health care for adults and children with disabilities, paraprofessional for the school system working with children with special needs, babysitting, caretaker for people of all ages with various disabilities, program manager of summer program for children with special needs, CNA's, clinical medical assistant, and teaching assistants.
Many of our staff are also enrolled in educational programs: Associates in Early Childhood Education, Dual Teacher Licensure Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and Child Development Associates Credential.
Our staff will all be CPR/AED and First-Aid certified; receive their Medication Administration Training credential; and complete trainings on Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, g-tubes, and proactive recognition and positive responses to behavior. Our center will be working towards our Organizational Certification in Trauma-Informed Care.
Every Child ELC will be partnering with external therapists to bring Occupation Therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA Therapy in-house for children throughout the community (regardless of whether they attend the child care center). Start date of this service is TBA.
The center has specialized equipment to assist children with disabilities including: a Hoyer Lift, a high-low chair, a specialized sensory room, flexible seating, and access to other adaptive equipment to accommodate any child with special needs. The center will also accept children with special needs
up to age 21 in order to address the need for safe, reliable, trustworthy, and trained child care for children with disabilities of any age.
Our primary goal is to provide high-quality child care while meeting the many needs of our community: child care for children with special needs, drop-in care, evening child care, in-town therapies, food boxes, assistance with signing up for SNAP/WIC/disability/etc., affordable rates (via a sliding scale), and a center that has our kids as top priority -- keeping low ratios, utilizing a play-based curriculum, and hiring trustworthy and dependable staff.
